Comments & reviews
Comments let teammates leave feedback on a document without editing it. Threads can be attached to the whole page, an individual block, or a specific field inside a block.
Enabling comments
Comments are opt-in. If the Comments tab appears in your left rail, your app has wired it up. If not, ask your developer to enable it — see Real-time bindings for the developer reference.
Leaving a comment
- On the whole document — open the Comments tab in the left rail and click New thread.
- On a block — select the block, click the comment icon in the floating toolbar.
- On a field — click the comment icon next to the field’s label in the Edit panel.
Each thread accepts multiple replies. Threads show an author, timestamp, and the body text.
Resolving threads
Click Resolve at the top of a thread to mark it done. Resolved threads are hidden by default; toggle Show resolved to see them again.
Unresolved threads show a red count badge:
- Next to the block in the Layers tree.
- Next to the field in the Edit panel.
- Next to the Comments tab in the left rail.
Blocking publish on unresolved comments
Your developers can configure publishing to be blocked while any unresolved comment thread exists on the document. The Publish button will show a warning with a jump-link to the first unresolved thread.
See Publish gates.
Reviewer role
Users with the reviewer role can comment but cannot edit content. See Roles & permissions.
